The Pretty Things were one of the earliest and most infuential bands to emerge from
the British R&B & rock underground of the 1960s, with a career spanning several
decades and encompassing garage rock, psychedelia and later experimental studio work. Founded by Dick Taylor following his departure from The Rolling Stones, the band remained a cult presence with a strong artistic identity throughout its long history.
This Record Store Day release presents four studio recordings that were originally left
unfnished & have now been recently completed. Conceived as a tribute by founder
member Dick Taylor, the release honours the late vocalist Phil May and the band's
longstanding manager and producer Mark St John. Issued on coke-bottle coloured vinyl, the 10" format documents the band's fnal creative period and later studio output.
